A ferry service from Taveuni to Natavu with connecting bus services to Labasa and Savusavu has just been launched. The MLC Sinu-I-Wasa II now offers roll on, roll off services. The services are Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Since the upgrade of the road Taveuni, the ride now from the Waiyevo Warf to Matei is a very easy and comfortable trip, with great views of the coastline and villages. The road winds down the Taveuni coast with a number of excellent lookouts over the coastline. At Matei the road widens slightly where there are a number of small resorts and homes with wonderful views of Rabi Island and Kioa Island. An trip well worth the taxi or bus fare.
